It all starts with a good book. Then a translator, writer or publisher is inspired to see it translated. Suddenly, thousands of readers discover another side of Canadian literature.

The Translation Rights Fair 2013

Save the date: January 24 (at 5 pm) to January 25 (at 5pm), 2013

Don’t miss this opportunity to meet, exchange and do business with fellow publishers from across Canada. The Canada Council’s Writing and Publishing Section and the Department of Canadian Heritage invite you to join us in Toronto in January 2013 for the third edition of the Translation Rights Fair.
This is an opportunity for English- and French-language publishers to:

  • meet
  • exchange information
  • buy and sell translation rights
  • add new titles to their lists

The program

The Canada Council gives Canadian publishers the opportunity to enrich their lists through its Book Publishing Support: Translation Grants program. As well, travel subsidies give them wings to realize their projects.

If you are a Canadian author or translator and are interested in the program, contact a publisher and tell them about it.
