CBC Young Composers Competition (Evolution)

Open to all forms of contemporary music, the CBC/Radio-Canada National Composition Prize is a unique showcase for emerging Canadian talent. It is a bold and original initiative promising divergent (even opposing) musical styles, an unusual format and exciting discoveries.

The goal of the CBC/Radio-Canada National Composition Prize is

  • to discover, promote and encourage Canadian composers
  • to help the general public understand the creative process and
  • to share the vitality and imagination of our artists with the entire world.
