5: Negotiating and Contracting

Artists sometimes feel that negotiating the contract is the most uncomfortable part of the booking process. However, the negotiation is really just a conversation between you and the presenter to sort out all the details surrounding your performance. Neither you nor the presenter wants any surprises.
The objective? Win-win-win scenarios for you, the presenter and the audience.
You want to be sure there is a clear understanding of all aspects of your engagement, most of which will be detailed in the contract and technical rider. |
