L'amour en silence (2005) - A tale of two continents, L’amour en Silence is choreographer Newton Moraes’ personal take on life in Brazil and in Canada. Past and present collide in this dance-theatre work that moves between tribal and techno lifestyles, blending zoological elements with contemporary and improvised moves. Derived from Brazilian aesthetics, Newton Moraes Dance Theatre explores the human condition.

City of Gold (2005) - Gold and material possessions are considered a metaphor for wealth, beauty and power. It is too easy to forget that the real wealth of a nation lies in its people and its creativity and vision of the world. This message of the value of human beings is the theme of this work. City of Gold is a collaboration with composer Victor Gama (Portugal/Angola) and the Newton Moraes Dance Theatre.
