Artist Story

Author and translator of The Book of Negroes tours Quebec

With the release by Montreal’s Éditions de la Pleine Lune of Aminata (the French translation of The Book of Negroes) author Lawrence Hill and translator Carole Noël embarked on a promotional tour of Quebec book fairs and stores. The Council supported Éditions de la Pleine Lune, and the Quebec tour, with a grant through the Book Publishing Support. Learn more about this grant, and the opportunities it provided.
