The Value of Presenting — website and online forum
Take part in an online conversation about presenting in Canada. Explore the role of presenters in the creative chain, in communities and society. Find out about the national study The Value of Presenting: A Study of Arts Presentation in Canada. Visit the website www.valueofpresenting.ca.
The website has been launched by the Canadian Arts Presenting Association (CAPACOA), with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts and the Government of Ontario. The Canada Council’s involvement is part of our ongoing research on trends in the arts to inform our programming and strategic priorities, in line with our Strategic Plan 2011-16.
CAPACOA aims to use the website to define the emerging role of performing arts presenters and develop a common vision of presenting for the next 20 years. The website includes the following:
- About: General information, as well as logos and ad banners to promote the study;
- Updates: A blog featuring recent news on project activities; and,
- Dialogue: An online forum that invites presenters and their networks to explore the role of presenters. This forum will complement “live dialogues” scheduled through the fall and winter of 2011-2012.
