Culture Days

Culture DaysCulture Days is an open, collaborative volunteer movement to raise the awareness, accessibility, participation and engagement by all Canadians in the arts and cultural life of their communities.

Culture Days will showcase annual, concurrent events across Canada beginning in September 2010. This coast to coast to coast celebration will feature free, hands-on, interactive activities that invite the public to participate “behind the scenes,” to discover the world of artists, creators, historians, architects, curators, and designers… in their community.

In 2010, thousands of organizations and artists in a majority of provinces and territories will be participating in this first-ever national initiative. The Canada Council for the Arts fully supports this initiative and encourages arts organizations and artists to register their activities as soon as possible.
